# Reduce poaching incidents and illegal wildlife trade
PECFO, in a powerful collaboration with the member conservancies, has significantly reduced poaching incidents and illegal wildlife trade. This achievement is a testament to the effectiveness of our 205 community rangers doing patrols, wildlife surveillance, and awareness campaigns when implemented collectively.
# Governance training
9 PECFO board members (5 men, 4 women), 2 secretariats, and conservancy staff equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective governance. This investment has transformed PECFO’s governance and financial capacity.
# Education and outreach program
Our education and awareness forums for community members and schools are the cornerstone of our conservation efforts. Driven by the community’s active participation, these forums serve as a platform for discussing and promoting conservation and natural resource management, which is crucial in increasing community involvement and understanding
