Protecting the rich biodiversity of the Pwani landscape is at the heart of PECFO’s work. We implement conservation strategies that safeguard endangered species, restore degraded habitats, and promote sustainable land use practices, ensuring that the region's natural heritage is preserved for future generations. Community scouts and rangers are doing great work in ecosystem monitoring and long-distance patrols monitoring animals and their habitats.
Spearheaded protection and restoration of critical marine habitats, such as mangroves and coral reefs, and terrestrial ecosystems, such as coastal forests, for a more balanced ecosystem and biodiversity.
